Western Australia has 3000 places for 190 Visa applicants and 2000 places for 491 Visa applicants.

There are 2 streams, with the General Stream being split into Stream 1 (health) and Stream 2 (other occupations).

General Stream

There is no requirement in the general stream to be living in Western Australian. There are two streams in the General stream for Critical Skills and Other Occupatoins.

Schedule 1 Occupations Requirements

  • Occupation on Schedule 1 WASMOL
  • Skills Assessment
    • Provisional Skills Assessment for 485 is not acceptable
  • Meet DHA Requirements for 190/491 Visa
  • IELTS 6 English Language (min 6 in each band)
  • Work Experience – 1 years Australian or OS Work Experience in the last 10 years in your occupation.
    • must be paid work (not internship/voluntary)
    • min 20 hrs/week.
  • Contract of employment for 190 applications.
    • Full time employment offer, commencing within 6 months of Application.
    • Self Employment / Independant contractors are not eligable.

Schedule 2 Occupation Requirements

  • Occupation on Schedule 2 WASMOL
  • Skills Assessment
    • Provisional Skills Assessment for 485 is not acceptable
  • Meet DHA Requirements for 190/491 Visa
  • IELTS 6 English Language (min 6 in each band)
  • Contract of employment for 190 applications.
    • Full time employment offer, commencing within 6 months of Application.
    • Self Employment / Independant contractors are not eligable.

Graduate Stream

  • Occupation on the GOL
  • Skills Assessment
    • Provisional Skills Assessment for 485 is not acceptable
  • Meet DHA Requirements for 190/491 Visa
  • IELTS 6 English Language (min 6 in each band)
  • Study Requirement
    • Study in WA for at least 1 qualification that is VET, Degree, Masters or pHD.
    • Study for 92 Weeks in WA, Full Time, Face to Face, at an Accedited WA Educational Instittue.
